Studio Paperform reached out to Digital Habitus to assist in their SEO migration and domain updates due to a recent name change.

Benja Harney is what most would call a true artist. As a bespoke paper engineer, Benja has been able to carve his way to pioneer status and has worked with some of the largest brands in the world. Over the last 15 years Studio Paperform (previously known as Paperform) has been dedicated to creating large-spanning paper constructions for brands such as Google, Nike to the City of Sydney.

In 2020, Benja came to us for assistance in updating his studio’s name and managing his site’s migration from one brand name to another.

Strategy.

Map out the existing site to help manage and create a site structure. Establish a new site structure ensuring that the new domain conforms to the existing URL structure.

Implement a full migration workflow working with the site’s CMS and existing domain weight based on the age of the existing domain.

Add tracking to the website to monitor transition.

Outcome.

Successfully mapped out the new domain and implemented the correct 301 redirects. This meant any search engine spiders that crawled the site now know what the new domain is and update how the site is indexed.

Reduced the impact of existing competitors that challenged the existing domain name and studio name.

Implemented script and tracking through Google Analytics.
